Snow sure, high altitude skiing at Chalet Charr

St Luc together with the neighbouring resorts of Chandolin, Grimentz-Zinal, and Vercorin make up the Val d’Anniviers ski area. A total of 240 km of high altitude skiing over some of the most beautiful and challenging mountain landscapes. St Luc is a great place to learn to ski, whatever your age, ideal for intermediates, and for the more advanced the valley offers some of the best off piste ski touring in Switzerland.

Rising to 3000m at Bella Tola, there are fabulous views of the “imperial crown”, some of the highest peaks in the alps. The often deserted piste follow the open mountain and drop down through ancient pine forests to the village. Grimentz and Zinal are both accessible with a combined area ski pass and there are excellent mountain restaurants throughout the Val d’Anniviers.

For those that do not ski, there are miles of spectacular walking tracks within the forest and on the open mountain
